pdf2Data Editor: UI overview

This guide aims to describe the user interface of the Editor. if you are interested in how to create your own template, please see Tutorial: Extracting data from PDF invoices. 

This document contains some terminology that may not be clear if you are approaching iText pdf2Data for the first time. If this is the case, we would recommend you to start with the basic concepts of data extraction.

The pdf2Data Editor is a browser-based component of iText pdf2Data that provides a GUI for common operations with pdf2Data templates.

In the Editor you can:

1. Create a parsing template
   
2. Modify data fields (parsing rules)
3. Test extraction template for individual files
