iText 5 is the previous major version of iText’s leading PDF SDK. iText 5 is EOL, and is no longer developed, although we still provide support and security fixes. Switch your project to iText 8, our latest version which supports the latest PDF standards and technologies.

In order for XFA Worker (iText 5) to work properly, you need to:
- Install iText 5 Core , go to the installation guide for Java or .NET.
- Get the XML Worker libraries, these can be downloaded separately for Java and .NET (additionally available on NuGet).
- Obtain a commercial software license, as a closed-source product you will need a license file to use it.
